An adequate Announcer is integral to the success of any Aviation Event

The right voice sets the tone for the daily sequence. While the right balance of knowledge and passion introduces the spectator to the inspiring aerial spectacle above.

Described by many as a walking 'Jane's Encyclopedia of Aviation',        Jakob McKenney of Aviation Narration LLC will ensure that your Event will receive thoroughly researched and well-articulated Professional Commentary. His wit, wisdom and ability to recollect obscure details about aircraft (and their pilots)is without compare, fueled by an infectious passion and enthusiasm that encompasses all aspects of the Aviation World.

Sponsors, Performers, Volunteers, and Participating Organizations, alike can count on their vast efforts receiving full recognition throughout the days festivities with detailed and thorough acknowledgement.

An adequate Announcer also recognizes that an Air Show is a highly collaborative effort and that Exceptional Air Show Commentary is about delivering a great and memorable experience for the spectator, not hearing oneself talk. That their voice serves as a mere gateway to the action and aerial excellence above

Captivated by the Wonderful World of Flight, Jakob McKenney has had a lifelong fascination with Aviation, its history, and its technicalities. First being inspired while attending air shows growing up, he has always enjoyed sharing this passion with others.

This of course sparked an interest in Announcing and Narration at an early age. McKenney announced his first aviation event in August of 2012 at the age of thirteen, an Antique Air Show held on a grass airstrip as a part of the town of Pembroke, Massachusetts' 300th Anniversary. This led to a number of opportunities providing commentary for General Aviation Fly-Ins and Open Houses while he honed his public speaking skills as a student of Communications.

However, it was in 2016 when he was given mic time at the International Seaplane Fly-In in Greenville, Maine, that McKenney was able to speak before thousands of attendees over a variety of aircraft showcasings and competitions. This instance led to McKenney being appointed in subsequent years as Commentator for not only the Int'l Seaplane Fly-In, but also for events held at America's Seaplane City of Tavares, Florida and the Pokagon State Park Indiana Seaplane Fly-In, earning the reputation as perhaps the very first 'Seaplane Announcer' in the industry.

As an Announcer, Jakob McKenney aims to bring this level of enthusiasm, knowledge, and professionalism to the table in the Air Show industry. Providing increasingly dedicated commentary and showmanship at events of all sizes in the future and Inspiring those of all ages with the stories and opportunities found in the world of aviation.

Jakob McKenney is also an aspiring aviation author, having penned a book on the unwritten history of C-47/DC-3 aircraft on amphibious floats, slated for publication in 2022.

Additionally, McKenney is a member of the Seaplane Pilots Association (SPA) the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and AOPA.
